My Story

The Woman Who Dared to Rewrite Her Destiny
A Journey of Self-Discovery, Resilience, and Transformation

Life has a way of reshaping us, often in the most unexpected ways. That transformation came through years of navigating love, conflict, sacrifice, and the courage to rewrite my destiny. My journey was not about failure but growth, healing, and finding a path that aligned with my most profound truth. Here is how my story unfolded and led me to embrace the role of a holistic counsellor and meditation therapist.

The Love That Wasn’t Enough
While love is beautiful, it is not always enough to keep a relationship intact. I spent 32 years in a relationship that became strained over time. Through this experience, I came to understand that love requires more than just existence—it needs trust, respect, and a shared willingness to grow. When those elements faded, staying was about responsibility, not love. That shift became one of my life’s most challenging but most important lessons.

Conflict as a Teacher
Instead of fearing conflict, I now came to see it as a powerful teacher. Through the struggles, tensions, and confrontations, I learned resilience, boundaries, and self-awareness. Conflict revealed the deeper truths I needed to confront and taught me how to endure without losing myself. This is a lesson I now share with others—how to transform conflict into growth.

The Shadows of Blame
Blame is seductive because it offers the illusion of control and justification. However, I learned that blame is a prison—it keeps us tethered to the past and prevents healing. Letting go of blame was one of the most liberating choices I made. It allowed me to release anger and resentment, creating space for understanding, forgiveness, and personal freedom.

The Children We Raised
I stayed in my relationship for my children. However, as they grew, I realised they needed more than just a stable home—they needed to see their mother live authentically. Through my actions, they learned resilience, kindness, and courage. My journey showed them that strength comes from within, and that is the legacy I hope to leave them.

The Legacy of Sacrifice
Sacrifice is often silent and unnoticed, but it shapes us profoundly. I sacrificed my desires to provide stability for my children, and although I sometimes questioned the worth of those sacrifices, today, I see their impact on my children’s lives. Sacrifice is not weakness; it is love in its purest form.

The Strength in Forgiveness
Forgiveness was one of the hardest lessons to learn, but I discovered that it wasn’t about excusing hurt—it was about freeing myself from the weight of resentment. I forgave my former partner, and, most importantly, I forgave myself. In doing so, I found peace and freedom, and that’s the foundation of the work I now offer to others.

Solitude as Renewal
For the first time in decades, I found myself alone—not lonely, but alone. Solitude became a sanctuary where I could rediscover who I am beyond the roles I had played. In this stillness, I found healing and a deeper connection to myself. Solitude is not something to fear but a space for renewal.

The Art of Starting Over
Starting over can feel daunting, but it’s also an opportunity. I began asking myself what I truly wanted, what brought me joy, and what kind of life I wanted to build. Rebuilding isn’t about erasing the past—it’s about using its lessons to create something new. This is what I now help others do: rebuild their lives, embrace their potential, and create the future they desire.

A Letter to Myself
To the woman who once believed she had to stay: You did what you thought was right. You gave love, time, and effort. And that was enough.
To the woman who finally chose to leave: You are stronger than you ever realised. Your life is not ending—it is beginning anew.
To the woman, I become: Keep going. Keep growing. Keep trusting that the best is yet to come.

Final Thoughts: Love as Legacy
Love isn’t always about staying in a relationship forever—it’s about the impact that love leaves behind. The love I gave, the sacrifices I made, and the lessons I learned shaped the person I am today. And that, more than anything, is the legacy I hope to pass on to others through my work as a holistic therapist.

Every behaviour stems from a feeling, and every feeling arises from a need.

The Lotus Rises from the Mud

The Lotus starts as a tiny seed hidden beneath the murky water.

It pushes through the mud, stretching upward, reaching for the light.

It does not rush; it does not fight what it feels; it simply grows.

And one day, when it is ready, it blooms.

Its petals glow in the moonlight. Its roots buried deep in the mud

“How can something so beautiful come from the mud?”

“Because growth begins in the darkest places.”

Even when I feel like I am in the mud, I’m still growing.

No matter where my journey takes me, I will always rise.

The Petal of Joy 🌞
One day, the Lotus revealed a bright yellow petal, warm as sunlight.
Joy is like the sun. “It fills you with light but is not meant to stay in one place. It moves, it shifts, and it is brightest when shared.

“Joy is not something you hold; it is something you feel and share.”
The Petal of Sadness 🌊
Another day, a deep blue petal unfolded, shimmering like the ocean.
Sadness is like water. It flows through you, soft but powerful.

It carves valleys in your heart, allowing new feelings to grow.
“But water does not stay still. It moves, and so will I.”

The Petal of Anger 🔥
One afternoon, a fiery red petal stretched open, pulsing with energy.
Anger is like fire. It can destroy, but it can also create.

It gives you strength when used wisely.
“I don’t have to hide my anger. I have to guide it.”

The Petal of Fear 🌫
A soft grey petal, shifting like mist, revealed itself on a quiet evening.
Fear is like a shadow. It only grows when you run from it.

But if you turn toward it, you may find it is smaller than you thought.
“I can feel afraid, but I won’t let it stop me.”

The Petal of Love 💗

One morning, a pink petal bloomed, glowing with gentle warmth.
Love is like the sky; It stretches beyond what you can see, touching everything, even when you don’t notice it.

“Love is in the kindness of a stranger.”

“In a friend’s laughter, in the memories that never fade”

“With an open heart, I embrace my journey, trusting that love, wisdom, and purpose flow through me”
The Petal of Peace 🌿

On a still night, a green petal emerged, calm and calming.
Peace is like a tree; it grows roots in stillness and spreads branches in kindness.

“Peace doesn’t mean nothing happens; It means

I am steady, no matter what happens.”

The Final Petal: Wholeness 🌸
A  violet petal, the colour of twilight, unfolded at the heart of the Lotus.
All emotions are part of you, not just joy or sadness.

Together, they make you whole.
“I don’t need to hide my emotions, I whispered, They all belong; they all make me, me.”
Louise
